Q. What is the routine of the caregiver for the patient?
A. The caregiver is responsible for personal hygiene first thing in the morning, feeding the patient breakfast as well as assisting the patient to take their medications. If the patient needs to see the doctor the caregiver will assist in transporting the patient to the doctor’s appointment.
Q. Would the caregiver be responsible for cooking for the patient?
A. Depending on the specific issues and nutritional requirements of the patient the caregiver can prepare meals for the patient. This would be agreed upon by the family and the client.
Q. How are the caregivers matched with the patients?
A. – Communication is very important and caregivers are chosen based on the patients personality to have the best match.
– Caregivers are chosen based on experience and patients needs so patients with high demands are matched with more experienced
Q- Are your caregivers experienced, screened, insured, and bonded?
A- We only employ caregivers with verified, prior home care experience. To help ensure the safety and well being of our clients, we perform a thorough criminal history background clearance (Level II fingerprinting) and then cover each caregiver with general liability and workers’ compensation insurance.
Q-Will my loved one always receive care from the same caregiver?
A- Our goal is to establish a trusting, long-term relationship with you or your loved one. Should you or your loved one want to request another caregiver for any reason, we’ll search for a match until you are happy. We understand inviting someone into your home can be an intimate experience and we want you to feel happy and comfortable with your caregiver
Q- Do I pay the caregiver directly?
A- No. Because our caregivers are employees, not independent contractors, you never have to pay our caregivers directly. We will send you (or an authorized representative) an invoice only after care has been provided.
